Satire

Satire

The meaning of satire is when something or someone is being made fun of in a joke by being criticized and corrected on whats wrong.

The reason satire should be used is most likely to correct or change the person who is being satirized.

What is being satirized in Taylor Mali's "The the impotence of proofreading" is spellcheckers. Spellcheckers are being satirized on how they don't always correct words they make mistakes too. The change expected is to learn how to use the spellchecker correctly. One example of satire is "But there are several missed aches that a spell chukker canıt canıt catch catch." Another example of satire is "your spell Chekhov might replace a word with one you had absolutely no detention of using." Has this ever happened to you? You work very horde on a paper for English clash And then get a very glow raid (like a D or even a D=) and all because you are the wordıs liverwurst spoiler. Proofreading your peppers is a matter of the the utmost impotence.

Correction: "Has this ever happen to you? You work very hard on a paper for english class and then get a very low grade like a D or even a D+ and all because you are the worlds worst speller. Proofreading your papers is a matter of the utmost impotence. This video "2011 Top Story: Navy SEALS Discover Bin Laden Gained 300 Pounds" satirizes Bin Laden, he had nothing to do all day but eat and watch television since he been in hiding. A women in the video says " If you attack the United States we're gonna hunt you down, we're gonna lose track of you, we're gonna hunt you down some more, we're gonna forget about you for a while and just as enough time has passed it seems that we may have forgotten about it we're gonna kill you."

"Advice to Youth" by Mark Twain satirized teenagers. His advice was to obey your parents, avoid violence, lying is bad, and not to handle firearms, these are things teens already know. Teens don't listen they do the opposite or don't do what they are told to anyway, thats how Mark Twain satirizes teens.

The short story "The Storyteller" satirizes storytellers and that every story doesn't have to be a happy story because most happy stories are boring a story that has a bad ending can be a great story. The Aunt told a happy story the kids found boring, the bachelor told an inappropriate story to tell children which they found exciting.

In the newshoggers article, over exaggeration is being satirized. A man named Mohammad was accused of making a nuclear weapon, which was really all a joke but of course others didn't find it to be funny and thought he was a terrorist.

In this satirical cartoon, Hilary Clinton is being satirized. She is shown cleaning the oval office in the white house, this cartoon makes fun of her saying she is needed in the white house to clean not to be president, also satirizing that its a woman's job to clean not to be president. Satire is when something or someone is being made fun of in a joke by being criticized and corrected on whats wrong. All of the readings I have contributed satirized someone or something. They all have a message and the message is to make a change in some sort of way. I noticed that many people and other things get satirized all the time, on the news, in the newspaper, on the internet, television, and by many people.
